Tri(ger) Warning(s) by Rufus Mufasa

Collaborative Exhibition at GS Artists Paves the Way for Rufus Mufasa’s Bilingual Album Launch.

Exhibition opening: 16th of February at 6 pm

AT GS Artists, 217 High St, Swansea SA1 1PE

The exhibition serves as a prelude to the highly-anticipated bilingual album launch, ‘Tri(ger) Warning(s),’ by multi-disciplinary artist Rufus Mufasa.

The display at GS Artists unveils the collective response of ten accomplished female artists from across Wales, interpreting key Welsh language words that steer Rufus’s album. Each artist has embraced their chosen word through diverse art forms, challenging traditional notions and fostering inclusivity within the arts. This dynamic showcase not only provides a platform for these talented women but also serves as an immersive experience for attendees to delve into the auditory essence of ‘Tri(ger) Warning(s).’

Set to captivate audiences, offering a unique exploration of the album’s themes, it also unlocks Welsh key words that explore contemporary Wales.

Moreover, the collaborative exhibition at GS Artists sets the stage for the launch event at Chapter Arts, where ‘Tri(ger) Warning(s)’ will be unveiled to the public on February 24th at 8pm. For ticket information, click here https://www.chapter.org/book/520201

The album cover is a striking portrait of Rufus, by the talent of Marion Cheung, with Rhys Webber contributing the accompanying photography, and Alex Rees overseeing the production, all set to captivate audiences & ignite essential dialogues for the times.

The album has already been punching, with the opening song Sbrydion the title track for S4C’s Bafta nominated series Enid a Lucy.

This cross-cutting concept album hijacks Raymond Williams’ key theories & furiously fuels feminist action in the unlocking of mother tongues. These words invite us to consider collective understanding in the shaping of our Nation of Sanctuary. This exhibition is a creative cooperative that reminds us of the power we have in circles.
