GS Artists invites you to be part of a very special 9to90 Creative Community Art School
From November 22nd- December 18th 2021, our gallery will become one big art studio, hosting classes in portraiture in a wide range of materials and methods. After each workshop we will add the artworks produced, filling our walls for the annual 9to90 Creative Community open submission exhibition and competition. Details of the workshops will be announced soon via Eventbrite and on our 9to90 Creative Community Website, Facebook and Instagram.
The main exhibition will remain online this year, but we are launching not one, but two special ‘Paint a Portrait’ Categories….
And we are absolutely delighted to announce that the one and only Catherine Zeta Jones has agreed to be this year’s STAR portrait and will be bringing a touch of Hollywood glamour to the High Street. All entries will be judged by Catherine and her family.
In addition we have a very special ‘Paint a Portrait of your Pet Cat-e-gory’ an opportunity to immortalise your favourite pets that have kept you company over these difficult months. It might be a pawtrait of your top pooch, or other pet complete with scales, fur or other…..
COMPETITION DETAILS -This competition is free to enter and is open to submissions from all over the UK, and you are welcome to enter both categories. ALL the works entered will be displayed on our online gallery.
Entry is via email until 5pm on December 11th, just email the best jpg possible of your artwork with your name and age group; 13 & under, 18 & under, or Adult. There will be 2 prizes for each age group.
EXHIBITION DETAILS – For those more local, you are very welcome to bring your works to the gallery, at 217 High Street, Swansea SA1 1PE, on Saturday 11th December, 11-4pm, for ‘A Hang and Hangout day’.
We will be on hand to add your entry to the walls, and the exhibition will be on display till December 18th. We can also photograph and enter your works into the competition on your behalf. Any questions please email [email protected]
