FAS in the Western Mail

Vulnerable young adults such as mine, benefit so much from their experiences in college and the extra curricular projects that occur in the community.  It creates a network of young people from schools, colleges and youth groups who can see what each other is producing, comment online about their work and their ideas, make themselves confident in digital skills, with the knowledge that the safety is there, with their functional digital skills. 

Safety in that they are not in close proximity to others, mental wellbeing in that they can express themselves in an art form, working together in that they can connect to others who they might never have had the chance to meet before. The fear of the Covid 19 virus may prevent people achieving their potential due to their worries, which is why a virtual environment can be nothing but an absolute necessity.  All positive.

This is where education is enhanced by extra curricular activities and vice versa.  Role models like Jane who work tirelessly and selflessly to giving time and effort to this is exactly how community thrives, and we need this positivity.  Ideas, visuals, campaigns, issues, narrative, prose, expression, enjoyment, education, wellbeing … all these subjects are so important for our times and definitely will benefit the future generations too.  Safely. Virtually. Supportively.
